APPOINTMENT OF CHAIRPERSON
The announcement issued on 22 April 2025 advising shareholders of the resignation of the Chairperson of the
ANIREP Board of Directors refers. In accordance with section 3.59 of the Namibia Securities Exchange Listings
Requirements and Article 31.5 of the Articles of Association, shareholders are hereby advised that the Board
has resolved to appoint Ms Gida Sekandi as Chairperson of the Board of Directors, with effect from 11
November 2025.
In furtherance of Principle C2-16 of the Corporate Governance Code for Namibia (NamCode), the Board has
appointed Ms Sekandi to provide the leadership and direction necessary to ensure the continued effectiveness
of the Board. This follows a rigorous selection process during which candidates were assessed against defined
criteria of values, attributes, skills, experience, and expertise.
Ms Sekandi emerged as the preferred candidate given her professional career, having served in various
executive capacities and her extensive board-level experience in listed and unlisted multinational companies.
Moreover, she has served the ANIREP Board with distinction since 8 March 2018, and as a member of the
Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee. She also currently chairs the Remuneration and Nomination
Committee. This tenure has afforded her a deep understanding of ANIREP’s historical context, unique business
model, investment philosophy and strategic intent. The Board is confident in her ability to provide effective
leadership as it steers ANIREP into its next phase of development.
Commenting on her appointment, Ms Sekandi said:
